Gunite

Typical duration: 1 day + cure

What Actually Happens
Gunite — In Plain Words
- 1Concrete is pneumatically sprayed onto the rebar cage at high pressure.
- 2Crews hand-shape floors, walls, benches, and steps as the gunite goes on.
- 3The shell then cures for 21–28 days, watered daily to prevent cracks.
- 4During cure, decking, coping, and equipment lines are installed.
